The gibbit in the two halved configiration

photo showing the importance of a west facing room to produce shadows.
the basic forms are now complete and need only to be cleaned and two peices would look better re-glued with more care.
i've decided to have the peice on the ground and in the two halved position.

first stages of construction of my glass gibbet

The gibbet is a man shaped cage for the display of exiquted pirates in the docks to deter other sailers from becoming privateers.

the peices are marked on paper, hand cut and sanded.
when prepaired they are glued into place and left for 12hours till dry.

Hung in the forth floor west facing window. The setting sun projects it up the walls of the studio.
The history of not only london but britain is full of the influence of nooses evan to the extent that hanging terms enter our laugauge...
