Finally the begining of the end of this window (hail of lead)

Leading, cementing and a primary clean finished. Now I need to polish the lead , learn wiring and fit the window into the ladies hat box. Simple =S

The plan is to create the suffragette arrow in 3D and place it behind the window. The arrow was a badge worn by members who were imprisoned. Hard core ladies only.
Maybe another clean is in order too.

A fragile portcullis ready for leading

The tiny glass sections are complete and ready for the fiddly leading process. The next step may take some time.

Green Finished

Thats the green section  finished. Im happy with the colour match with the suffragette colours which isnt easy with glass, they're colours are very muted and glass is vibrant by its nature.

now on to the purple.....

Starting point portcullis

                                           ugh....maths

The original design was much more rich in detail which didn't work but somethings diffidently missing. Ive got afew idea to play with.

Women's day

Two new window designs in the works inspired by yesterday (National women's day). The woman so fierce she left a black scar in the fabric of Britain and the women so dedicated they changed the more ephemeral medium of the British mind set.

Hopefully this will make the detail painting easier.
